📏 METHOD 1 — Measure an Existing Ring (Most Accurate at Home)
This is the most reliable home method.
What You Need:
• A ring that fits the intended finger
• A ruler (with millimeter scale)
Steps:
-
Place the ring on a flat surface.
-
Measure the inner diameter straight across the center (from inner edge to inner edge).
-
Note the measurement in millimeters (mm).
-
Match the diameter with the table below.
⚠ Measure only the inside edge. Do not include metal thickness.
📐 METHOD 2 — Measure Finger Circumference (String Method)
Use this if you do not have a ring.
What You Need:
• A thin strip of paper or thread
• A ruler (mm scale)
Steps:
-
Wrap the paper/thread around the base of your finger.
-
Ensure it is snug but not tight.
-
Mark the point where it overlaps.
-
Lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters.
-
This measurement is your inner circumference.
-
Match it with the table below.
⚠ Measure at room temperature. Fingers expand in heat and shrink in cold.
🧠 Professional Recommendations
• Measure twice for accuracy.
